When users use a centrifugal fan, they will find that the wearing parts in the equipment mainly have two parts, namely the blade and the volute, and this phenomenon is particularly obvious in the power plant.
The first thing to introduce to you is the wear of the blades. The wear of the blades in different equipment is also different. For example, some centrifugal fans have serious wear on the forward blades. The main wear parts are: blade inlet, outlet and near the root of the rear disc. Some fans also use radial straight blades. The wear of this kind of blade is mainly: usually in the shape of a saw tooth, the wear part is mainly concentrated at the outlet of the blade, and it will gradually weaken from the outlet of the blade inward.
In addition to the above two situations, in actual work, some centrifugal fans use backward-facing airfoil blades. For this kind of blade wear, the most serious parts are the outlet section and the blade head on the side near the rear disc. If the blade head is worn, the blade cavity is easily invaded by coal ash, which gradually causes the rotor balance to be destroyed, causing problems such as fan vibration.
One type of blade is known as the backward straight blade. After research, it is found that if the centrifugal fan adopts this kind of blade, the wear condition that it often shows is that it is easy to be worn on the side of the middle disk at the outlet of the blade.
No matter which type of centrifugal fan it is, the wear on the volute is basically the same, and the serious parts are located near the volute tongue. Usually, the wear on the volute of the centrifugal fan starts from the volute tongue, and the wear is more serious at the 1/6 to 1/4 volute line.
